View Full Version : broken steering wheel

this may sound stupid and probably is, but i was just wondering if this plastic little piece on the back of an e30 steering wheel matters... i was putting in my mtech steering wheel and dropped it. I broke the black plastic piece on the back that i think only helps place it properly in the steering column and the gears in the wheel do the rest. is there a big importance for that little black piece where i should epoxy it back together or still will work ?

I'm guessing you meant to post a picture but forgot.
but if the tab in this picture is what broke..

You'll have to manually cancel your signal lights without it.

Yep. It just knocks the switch when you centre your steering and cancels your turn signals.

i tried looking for pics on google and read up on it before asking on max but couldnt get anything.....damn google.
