I have to sell due to unforeseen circumstances. To add to the title, this car has the premium and winter package. Only 50,000 km's on it, a garage queen. Manual transmission. It's fully loaded. It is absolutely mint inside and out. No accidents or any issues. My loss is your big gain. Looking for $42k. Serious inquiries only please.

I really wish someone can appreciate the fact that you babied this car in order to justify the price, because I just cant.

^^^ exactly

But some people simply dont realize that an 80k new bmw will cost just around 25k 5 years later regardless of mileage you put on it. Once they realize it they'll start driving these cars.

Price is negotiable but plugging numbers in that tool does not show the value of the car on the market. Hardtops go for more than verts, manual is more in demand than smg... These all drive up the price.

No point in offering my lowest price to go even lower after negotiating.

you're at least 10k over a reasonable price so you might as well just delete this ad... waste of time

and LOL at your market knowledge... vert is always more money you just have no idea what you're talking about

Then go find me a similar car on classifieds in the area for $30k. Are you even in the market for an M3? If not, why are you wasting your time on this thread?

Do I have to put 'OBO' for the price to be negotiable? I just put a price i'm looking for and i know any price i offer someone's going to offer much less. So it's obviously i'll start on the high end. At the same time, I do not see it $10k overpriced.

It's great that you found some cars in the low 30's but I'm able to find plenty smg vert's. What's tough is to find this car in hardtop, manual and low km's. if you can, then by all means buy it.

yessiR, take a count of how many smg vert's there are in classifieds and tell me if you'd be willing to pay more for that considering you have a large supply to choose from. if you would, then i suggest you take economics 101 (pay close attention to the supply and demand lesson).

There was a 2006 Z4MC here with 50,00km too listed for $41,000 plus for a long long while and finally had to reduce and sold for less than $30,000 ..

Buyer will always negotiate but when one's price is way up there, buyers will just give a pass...even with a OBO..

thanks for the input damameke. you atleast had a civil/mature response. Sad to see that car go for under $30k. if i knew about that one earlier i would have purchased it myself. I'll be keeping the car if it gets even remotely close to that price point though.

Nice lookin car man -- would be a beautiful ride with the low mileage and storage practices good to see :)

At the same time I don't think you'll ever be able to sell that car for that much :(

you will have to find the right buyer who is dying to find a M3 with manual. while there is a want for manual price is a deciding factor at end of day.

heck i own a e60 with manual. probably 10% of all e60s ordered are left with the auto left unchecked. but it gets better...i also have navi with it as well. probably <20% of all e60s ordered have navi. but wait my e60 also has the sport package too.

with these 3 rare combos in my car i could command a premium by your logic. when i'm ready to sell my car you can represent me. :)

so while supply and demand prevails to set the market price - you have to find that rare buyer who thinks what you have is indeed worth the premium cause they want it that badly.

so with that - a free bump to you.

Just so you don't waste your time I tried selling my car that is pretty much same spec at yours asking $45000 (would let it go for $42000) but that was TWO years ago ... I got no interest and still have it ... so I don't think you will get anything close to $42000 ... maybe $32000 since yours looks like a US car too

Not even a Zcp package would go for that much, esp this time of year. I actually found more manuals than smgs when I was searching. It's hard to find one with the exact options one wants , especially if you are picky.

Anyways glws, but I think it will be a tough sell in a market flooded with e46 m3s, no matter how rare you think this one is.

I'm currently in the market for an M3, haven't decided if it's an E46 or E92 yet. I've driven both and am leaning towards the E46. I can afford to buy either and am just waiting for the right car to come up. For reference, Endras BMW in Ajax sold a black 2006 M3 Competition Package manual & nav with <50k km on it for $39k in July this year. While I think the price is high on this particular car based on how it's optioned it isn't unreasonable that it could go for close to this price if the right buyer finds this car. That said it's unlikely that the right buyer will be on this forum. In any case the OP likely knew his price was high before he made this thread so if you aren't interested there's no need to reply.

It's the last production year E46 M3 with low KMs, of course it will fetch a premium.
He's also right that a manual coupe will be more in demand than an smg convertible or any smg for that matter. That's what the real enthusiasts want. The market is flooded with manual/smg convertibles so they are usually cheaper.

I still think the asking price is kinda high (39k) but go see prices on M3forum for 30k mile cars and I'm sure their pretty high as well.

GLWS OP

Edit: we need pics of the C4S so we can decide if he should do the trade! :D

If I could find cars like this one for 26500$ I'd buy 2, maybe 3.
Good luck in your lowballing search.

It's good to see support to keep the value of these cars up where they surely belong. I'm amazed at people who offer me $21,000 and say I'm way over priced. They need to come to a realization that they just can't afford this car. M3s do exist in the low/mid $20k's but expect high km's, smg, and a convertible.

Anyways, I've had reasonable offers but I'm holding out at the moment.

Not interested in trades but I would like to see some pictures of that Porche.

Lol I get the feeling that someone is going to buy this just to prove yesir wrong.

If I was piss loaded I would do it just to shut the obnoxious douche up.

OP glws. The car looks sharp and you deserve the right to sell your car in peace, free from ridicule and price assertions, especially when it comes from people with no true vested interest in negotiating or challenging the price point.

Insert last laugh from yessir below. I'd rather be first, but in this case I'll have to settle for second when it comes to laughing at you, something I'm sure I could never be the last at lol.

My loss is your big gain. Looking for $42k.

Usually I don't get involved in this, and really, sell it the price you want, it's your business. But please, don't imply in your add this is a deal, because it isn't.

fencer
11-26-2011, 04:46 PM
I was not implying this was a deal. There's no urgency in selling this car so I have no intentions of offering any deals. This isn't black friday for me. I was talking about the car itself as a loss for me and a gain to the buyer. Hard to deny it's not a loss and gain.
