I need to do change my head gasket on my 92 , 325i so I have to machine the head, can someone recommend to me a shop in the west end of the GTA?

How much would something like this cost?

Finch and Dufferin (80 Vanley Crescent) The guy's name is Graham, he's very reputable. This guy is amazing. Does everything. Porting, boring, welding, resurfacing.

something like 150$-200$ depends on the head. Not 100% sure on the price.

It's Motex. 3 votes. He rebuilt my S38 with oversized racing pistons. Did amazing work and unlike most machine shops, he actually delivers on time and budget - I've been waiting a year for my turbo motor to be finished. The only reason I didn't go with Bill again is that the guy I'm using now is a lot closer so I can check up on the progress and he came extremely highly recommended by people with high power builds. To be fair Bill has built a lot of racing engines as well, including BMW and Porsche but this time I wasn't in a hurry (although in retrospect, not THAT much not of a hurry.... fml).

Coles notes, go with Bill, won't regret it. I don't know if he'll do it for a head but when I talked to him about doing the 2nd motor, this was after he moved back to Alliston (this is where he lives, he just closed his shop in Etobicoke and started doing everything out of his home shop). He said he'd come pick it up and drop it off..

Left to right, S38, Bill, yours truly

If i was getting a head done, spending an hour driving wouldn't stop me from going to the right people. If the head isn't surfaced/flattened properly, it can cost you a shitload of money down the road (labour to rip head off, new HG, resurfacing head again, etc).

Do it right the first time, go with someone who comes recommended.

My buddy had his b18 built there, and that guy can build motors! Same specs as a lot of other builds, but for whatever reason it makes 20hp more. The guy knows his shit.

I spoke to gord bush performance and he said it would cost $60 to machine the head assuming everything is off of it.

Any other opinions?
