View Full Version : 3 Series Gauging interest - Southern Bronzit E30 Project, M52, RUST FREE
10-12-2011, 12:45 PM
Good afternoon All. This is a fairly serious feeler:
I have a 1989 Bronzit sedan rolling chassis with NO rust (with the exception of the sunroof for some reason). Never seen snow/salt, as far as I can tell.
Formerly auto, no drivetrain.
I also have an M52 with 140k kms as well as a ZF 5 speed.
To complete, the car needs:
Pedal box, E34 oilpan and engine mounting arms
Flywheel and clutch
Driveshaft from 328i
I've been meaning to get to this for a couple years now, and haven't. It's time to be realistic, and I'm purging some stuff out of the garage. I'm also trying to sell my 2002 roundie. ;)

that's a nice little set-up you've got there.
free bump to you!

Thanks! I should note that the interior and trunk are VERY clean.
The car had working A/C and has about 90k miles.

Where are all those people who were looking for a rust free project? ;)

No longer gauging interest - this is definitely for sale.
10-15-2011, 07:48 PM
Did you get your Porsche? :P
10-16-2011, 09:13 AM
Unfortunately no...but I might have a line on one.
Either way I need to make space, and I'm having a harder time selling the 2002 than I expected - after a talk with Stace, we realized that if we don't sell it now, there's a good chance we'll still be trying to "get around to it" in a year. Or 2...3?

Will sell rolling chassis/drivetrain separately. Contact me if you have any questions.

bronzit? Either the lighting in those pictures is throwing off the colour, or I'm blind, because it looks sterlingsilber to me
10-19-2011, 10:25 PM
Definitely bronzit. :)
10-20-2011, 03:15 AM

:) Not sure which emailer you are: Friday after 3pm and anytime Saturday works for me - it's in the garage, so weather won't matter too much. Feel free to call: 905 746 3088

Note: if you SAY you're going to come at x time, and something else comes up and you decide not to show up, then let me know. It's called courtesy.
I have better things to do than wait all afternoon only for you not to show up....
(Note: this is not aimed at egyE30, who showed up exactly when he said he would. Thank you!)

No problem, it was a pleasure meeting you!
I've had a number of parties interested in just the rolling chassis as it is: $1300 firm.

Will consider trades for decent motorcycle - VFR800/F4i/929+cash or...
Don't want a project bike, but light cosmetic damage is fine.

Up. :) Taking offers. If it's not gone in a couple weeks, I'm putting it back together over the winter.

Back up for sale. Also includes E34 oil pan et al.

And late E36 M3 spindle brakes, stainless lines etc....

To the top: tired of flakes and questions like "the engine is installed and the car is drivable, right?" - make me a serious offer.
For some reason, I can't edit the original post.
A refresher as to what is included:
Southern Bronzit completely rust free rolling chassis, great interior
2.8 M52 w/wiring harness (140 km no ECU)
5 speed ZF transmission (140km)
E34 oil pan, pickup and dipstick
E36 M3 brakes, spindles
