1998 E36 328i $2500

As you can probably tell from my account I've been lurking here for quite a long time. Well my dad recently told me he needs the driveway space and he wants to sell the BMW. So here it is:

For sale for $2500 is an automatic transmission 1998 E36 BMW 328i Sedan with 142,946 km (as pictured). Comes with recently replaced radiator (new) and steering column. Car passed e-test with no problems last spring. Car is being sold AS IS because it needs brake servicing (can include pads/rotors/sensors at cost: $550).

The Good:
- New radiator, never overheats!
- Recently replaced Steering Column.
- We are the original owners, the car was BMW serviced for most of its life.
- Tinted windows
- Stock BMW everything
- Strong Engine

The Bad:
- Needs new battery
- Needs brakes for safety
- Rust starting on driver side rear quarter panel and front doors.
- Worn driver's seat
- No AC
- Comes with original radio, but needs a new harness connector to work. (Should be a simple fix for any car audio shop, has alpine harness adapter currently installed.)
- Transmission may need work in the future, but the car recently drove to Kincardine and back with no problems.

Note: Car is offered WITHOUT the wheels pictured, it will come with BMW aluminum rims and almost new winter tires. The aftermarket rims are Kaiser Circus 18" Chrome wheels (imported from Germany) with brand new Kumho SPT (very good) tires. They are available separately for $2500. I also have an alpine head unit, digital amp and 12" subwoofer available at extra cost.

This is from earlier in the summer (a little elbow grease goes a long way). The rims are in very good condition, I urge interested parties to come see them in person.

Yes the car is still available. There has been some interest but no one has committed yet.

The car came with AC, but it just kinda died at the start of the summer. There are no noises from the engine bay so I think it may just need a recharge. Don't know for sure though because I haven't had anyone look at it.

The rims are Kaizer (Make) Circus (Model) that I had ordered a number of years back. If you search around the net you'll find some pictures though I haven't been able to find a company page.

I don't recall getting any such phone calls. There is someone who is very interested in taking the car to his mechanic for an inspection, but he still hasn't put a deposit down so I'm considering the car available.

To each their own I suppose. Most people I've spoken with want a daily driver/winter beater anyways so that's why I'm selling the car with stock aluminum rims and winter rubber. No one has haggled on price after seeing the car.

As for the wheels, they'll sell no problem on their own. Just not to the performance crowd.

Thanks, I think it's more a trait of forums in general. At this price the car will sell, it's just a matter of when. I had hoped for sooner rather than later, but I'm not going to give it away either.

Edit: It appears that the way the ad is worded insinuates that the car does not run. It does and it is insured. I have been giving all serious individuals the opportunity to test drive the car.
