Cigarette Lighter iphone integration

Hey all,

For some reason after purchasing an Apple iPhone adapter for the cigarette lighter, it does not show up for one of the options to select in the modes. Am i doing it wrong? The lighter works because i use my GPS. How do i make it so that it works?

it wont show up as an option! You have to synchronize it with the radio station!
