Valve seals

So my car is burning all kinds of oil about 1L per 600 km , I've changed ccv vcg and now thinking of doing valve seals and was wondering if it can be done without removing the head

I have done many on Vw's with the head on. Never actually done a E46 with the head on. It may be possible.
