Up for sale is one of the rarest of the 540 e34's (second to the M540)
This is the real deal Canadian 540 6 speed with the M sport suspension package. 1 of 136 540/6speed cars built for Canada.
195000km and tonnes of power and torque and still gets 650+ per tank
cheap on insurance

This car is in MINT condition and came loaded from the factory with

17" Staggered BBS style 5 Rims (17x8 and 17x9 rear)
Black leather sport seats
M sport suspension
Shadowline trim
Heated Seats
Cold weather package with headlight washers
Auto dimming mirror
power everything
Fully functional onboard computer
Ski pass through

Car is extremely clean and has no rust. The leather is immaculate. Passed etest with flying colors, had a factory clutch put in 8k ago as well as waterpump and thermostat.

sorry, already went through my e36 phase years ago.

Will trade for 86-87 Grand National or T-type or Fox body mustang 5.0 only ( i may consider a clean e30)

price is negotiable, Im willing to sell car with original radio and a set of winter wheels instead of style 5's

This is a wicked driver guys...ZERO rust, 10/10 interior and very rare

I am not talking about an M5 bumper (that came on the M540). I am talking about the brake ducts that from my limited knowledge, came on manual, sport optioned, 540i's.

Won't the M-Sport suspension package have the same EDC suspension as the M5? This seems to be just a very nice 540i-6. I still want it.

The M540 bumper isn't the same as the M5, its bottom lip is a bit sharper.

Haha I wasn't really expecting a "yes," it was more of a knee-jerk reaction when I saw the ad and how clean the car is. Somebody will be very happy with it. glws.

I just wonder how you maintain it so that you did not get rust under the doors. Props for keeping it clean.

no rust on fenders or bottom of doors. No rust anywhere. The car has been rust protected and driven 1 winter in its life but was washed weekly. Oil changed at regular intervals, premuim gas...no accidents.

Reason for the sale is that i want to pick up a 335 coupe
There doesnt seem to be a market for 95 540 6 speeds anymore and most people dont even know about this model. Only a few guys actually remember these factory loaded (sport pkj) 540's. I have gotten some extremely low ball offers, so I will just keep it, rather than sell it to some kid who doesnt even know what hes getting.

Wouldn't hurt to send an e-mail to the Bring-a-Trailer guys. They've featured interesting E34s before.

wow, thats beautiful, the reason you get lowballed is because that V8 is known to have problems and the stock clutch is too weak for the power and weight the car has. But most of those 540's are usually dead, so people who buy them get headaches. This one though looks like it's very proper to me. GL with the same, i'd buy it if i had extra cash.

^I think he got lowballed because the economical climate killed the resale of E39 as well. Having said that, people don't want to pay too much for an E34 unless it's an M.

Exactly. Why pay 7 for a 540 (sport or not) when you can spend 9-10 on a M5?
As nice as this 540i Sport is, unfortunately I don't see it bringing any more than 5K.

Keep it, enjoy it, pass it onto your children.
