What's wrong with yours? Maybe you should consider getting it repaired if you can not find one.

it's fried, one of my engine cylinders isnt responding and i did a compression test

and compression is fine. so i checked the coils and one was blown so i replaced

it and i had a mechanic do a scan and he said my ecu was blown and that i

should replace it as well. i forgot to mention i opened the ecu and a few of the chips are corroded.

any idea where i might be able to have it rebuilt?

Contact eurostyle or simplycars.

That is a very rare ECU and it is not too likely they have one, but probably worth a try.

You could always convert your car to run on a megasquirt, it would be a bit of work though.

swap the engine to m50b25 and you are done - i have full setup with manual transmission - harness / ecu / maf

i think it would be cheaper to find a ecu lol

Cheaper yes, but much harder! Or you could swap everything to 325 without the motor! (in other words buy an OBD1 conversion!)

How do i do that??

You buy a kit from DIYAutotune and build it. Since your computer is fried just gut the box (http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2251/2179793479_e189383469_b.jpg) and reuse the connector so that it's plug and play. You'd just need to figure out the pin designations on your adapter (something like this http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2108/2226003232_831a8f9243_o.png)

You CAN use another one, but it has to be 320i....

yeah i told him i was gunna buy one from a 1995 320i automatic and drop the ecu in my manual 94' and he said no not even a another manual 320 car of my year's ecu would work.... now if i buy the 95 ecu and it doesnt work i wont get my money back..... all i have to say is WOW.

Basic control unit DME MS40.1 1 09/1992 to 12/1994 12141703942

95 would have EWS, and wont work...gotta check production date before you buy! *th-up*

BUT if you have DME with part #12141744709 that one seems to fit all models...not only up to 12/94...

Its confusing, but i hope it helps!
