4.8is exhaust on a 4.4?

Hey guys,

A friend of mine has an 02 x5 4.4l and he was wondering if he can get his car to sound like a 4.8 by swapping his exhaust.

I'm aware that they have different engines but I was wondering if anybody here has tried that mod before...

Cut the resonator out, put in a 2&3/4 pipe in between, it will sound better and cost you about 80$.
