425 C.I. ( 7 L ) with factory dual 4-barrel carbs (delivered in the trunk to the dealership). The "super wildcat" motor puts out 369 HP and 465 lbs. torque- crazy !! hideaway headlights ( one off year option) and very comfy. Gonna black it out ( or "carbon shwartz" it like my '70 chevelle) mmmm.....'65 Riv....

I'll always have a soft spot for Riv's... my first car was a 1973 Riviera... Rebuilt the 455 myself, with a friend who had a Gremlin! LOL I distinctly remember working on the carb, sitting on the wheel well in the engine bay. Oh, those were the days... 4 BBL FUN!

Have fun!

I'm looking at 8 barrels of gas sucking carbeuration, which makes the 740 the gas miser of the household ( LOL !!! ) Pretty sad but kinda funny.

Yeah, I see the dual carbs *th-up*... I can hear the gas flowing *drink*. I LOVE the concealed headlights, reminds me of a knight. LOL

I can almost hear the growl of the engine. *smoke*

Sweet

Update ! Joined the buick riv owners club and started researching engine & block #'s. Turns out my particular Riv is one of only 454 '65 s that came with factory twin 4 barrels and wasn't a GS model, making it oh so rare and worth 4-5 K more .

Damn.......I hate that....:D
