BMW sunroof cloth liner problem

The liner for my sunroof came loose and I only noticed it when the cloth got bunched up and jammed. I managed to free it up and close it, but I can't open it with out it getting scrunched up. Can it be fixed while on my car or do I have to remove the whole sunroof? Has anyone came across a DIY for this situation, it's not one that has caught my eye and I've looked around sites for quite a bit.

please post a picture. from my recollection this can be fixed with the sun roof simply open.

Here is a picture. Like I said, I stuffed it back in the slot with a credit card, but if I dare open the roof, it will drag and bunch up. I don't know how it is suppose to be held on, if there is some sort of rubber mold holding the fabric or metal clamps.
