As you know, there are 3.0 stroke kits for M20. Is there anybody used it? What are the results? How much HP and what is the compression ratio? I am worried about bigger " stroke/diameter "ratio for this application.

I'm not 100% shure that stroker kit is for a 2.5L M20. I'm going to guess it is for the 2.7L "eta" M20. There is someone on this board with this, but I can't remember his name.

Isn't it a "eta" block with "i" head, or is it a "i" block and head with Diesel crank for a longer stroke?

He did the 3.0 Litres stroker Kit and even had the car on the dyno .....
Now he is doing a S50 or S52 swap..
To me, Stroking the M20 to 3.0 Litres is way too expensive and you can get better results with a M50 swap.....

The 3.0 stroker kit is for the 2.5 liter. It costs 2,500 dollars, but you have to have the block bored 1mm, and then it has to be balanced, and blueprinted, so theres the added cost. Daves car with other add ons was around 210-215hp at the crank, and a little over 180hp at tyhe wheels. The good part about it is its like having a completely new engine, if got your head rebuilt at the same time. The crank, and pistons are also forged so its strong. If i was Dave i would just turbo charge that engine.

I had just learnt Dave's dyno result and I am dissapointed. I was hoping more then 210HP, so can we say that 3.0 M20 is not feasible? So I should consider 2.7 stroke and low boost turbo.

A 2.7 liter stroker with boost would be a pretty powerful engine. You don't have to run low boost something a little higher like 8-9psi on a 2.7 liter stroker could get you 270+hp. You would have to find out a little more on how much boost you can run because i don't know what the compression would be on a 2.7 liter stroker. But in the long run it would probably be around the same price, or cheaper then the 3.0 liter kit, with a good amount more power. If you use the E and I parts and a custom turbo it would be cheaper.

what are the deatils of an M50 comapred to an s50 / s52?
all 3 can be put into an e30, correct?
i dunno whether s52 is better or m50...help?
how do u change compression on a car btw? (gotta replace whole engine) if not, how can u find out what ur compression is?
(if these are dumb Q its because i dont know what i am talking bout)

The other two engines compared to the m50 is that they have a lot more power. All of them can be put into an e30 with some fabrication. You can change the compression on a car by getting different pistons, getting a thicker head gasket, ect.. They have compression testers to check your compression. I never done it so i don't know what exactly is involved.
