Hey guys i got a spal fan, and im wonderinf how do i hook it up so that it turns on when the car reaches a certain temp....

I got a spal puller fan, 16 inch, medium profile and curved blades.....

Im really not good with electricals, mostly cuz i hate dealing with it, so i kinda stray away from it... what are my options, what can i do and how do i do it... im looking for the cheapest way and parts i can find locally, nothing from the states.... duty fees suck..*th-up*

Any help will be much appreciated.

I'm assuming you got the relay and wiring kit with it as well?

This basically shows you how to wire up the relay kit, and tap into the auxilary fan for the temp switch.

Good luck! I installed mine over the winter and have had no problems by following this DIY

I didnt get a relay kit with it, all i got was the fan....

and i dont get it.. the spal fan only has two wires? is the speed controlled by the voltage?

I know its easier just to make it run all the time... but is that good for the engine??

Ok - I'd suggest getting this then:

Just get the basic kit and hook up to the aux fan.

If you want to save on duty fees, contact Arek from 8-Legs Racing - he's a Canadian Bimmerworld distributor here in Ottawa, but he can ship to you I'm sure. His screenname is ScotcH on the board. Tell him I sent you.

Good luck!
