I have a question about the E46 M3. Had a chance to drive a 2001 Leguna Seca Blue with 6 spd. What is the Sport button!. Makes the car into a different animal.

1) increased thottle response (drive-by-wire opens throttle bodies more for a given amount of pedal movement).

2) decreases power assist (I think, but this may not apply to the M3. It does apply to the Z4 with the electrically powered streering)

that's all I know of.

Spud's right on both counts.
The sport does re-map the throttle response, but doesn't do anything to the steering in the E46 M3.

M's a distant memory.
Apparently it was up for sale at the BMW Dealership in Thornhill a few days after I traded her in.

Glad to take you out for a ride.

Next meet, just ask.
