View Full Version : Window won't go up...

The passenger side window on my 94 318 is stuck down, and won't go up. i have the door panel off but can't force the window up. For now, my main concern is to get the window up so I can drive my daughter around whatever the weather. Weird thing is though, when I press the window button down, you can hear clicking, but there is no sound when you press up.

How can I get the window up, 'til I replace the regulator?

You need to take the motor off... it's most likely a few torx screws holding it on. One the motor is off the window transmission can be actuated by hand. Then reinstall the motor while it's up, or pop a couple bits of wood in there to hold it up.

Good Luck

Thanks. I'll give that a try.

try jumping the motor with 12v maybe its a bad switch or somtn and not the motor.

except i think the motor works when you press the button down. Perhaps its a short or a wire somewhere?
