You think $75 is too much or too cheap?

I think $75/fender is great given the potential to damage the paint.

If they guarantee no damage to paint- $75 is a great deal I think.

Besides its a one time thing..

How often do you think your going to be rolling fenders...?

BTW do they caulk the inside of the lip that is rolled? If not, debris will collect in there and cause the rolled lip to rust prematurely. They should use the automotive type of caulking that you see in the engine compartment and trunk, etc..

Cheers,

Fern

I initially had 19x10 PG3's with 165 tire width on order for my car, but cancelled it due to having to roll the fenders. I went to a lot of shops, and no one will give you a guarantee that they won't crack the paint. They say that it's "a risk you have to take". :(

I for one don't want or need my car to be repainted with 5000kms on it.

I don't think 165 tires posses much of a problem for any vehicle.

I think you mean 265...

On the e39 the widest you can go (without rolling) is 265 in the rear:-(

Let us know how well the rolling tool works.

75.00 per fender is way to much...theres NO guarentee and it only takes 1 hour tops !!! you think paying 300.00 plus tax for one hours work is ok ??

I had to roll the fenders in the rear wheels to fit the 20's

It's ALOT easier and less hassle than it might seem.

The outcome was that the wheels still rubbed a bit when i had passengers in the car - This spring i purchased and installed M5 Fender Liners - and now it's perfect.

The tire in the back are 275/30/20

Hope this helps

P.S. $75/side is a RIPOFF..

Guys, there is a guy on DTMpower, and here also:

http://www.maxbimmer.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11309

Those are 19 inch Hamann rims on his ride, and he told me a long time ago that he didnt roll his fenders. He got his rims to fit by "buzzing" some material out from the inside of the fender. BMW supposedly has a lot of extra material on the inside of the fender you can get rid of and you actually get a lot more clearance than rolling will ever get. This will work on an E36, but an E30?? Well not sure but PM him, he could probably explain it a lot better........

Its the same thing dude.. fender rolling flattens that piece of metal against the inside of the fender, his "Buzzing" sounds like he just cut/grinded it away. Same shizzle different pile-izlle
