I have an E30 that I recently purchased and had some professional body work done to (with metal, no shitty fiberglass here). The body was not bad to start, so this is not a shell that was rotted and then repaired; It had little aesthetic trouble areas, no structural rust. It is a solid rust free chassis. It is a '91 318is with plastic bumpers of course (since its a 91). Obviously its a coupe ("is model"). Also, its obviously a 5 speed (all 318's are). The motor is retarded strong, this is the fastest 318 I have ever driven and I have owned 3. It is a slicktop. The interior is in surprisingly good shape. The car passed emissions no problem a few months ago, thats obviously included with the sale. I can have the car safetied too if thats what the buyer wants. I am located in the GTA, if you are seriously interested send me an email to seakyracing@gmail.com.

I will try to get some pictures up asap. I am looking to sell ASAP but that doesn't mean I'm desperate to sell, so keep your retarded offers to yourself.

Reason for sale is I have another one and I just have too many E30's; really too many cars overall. Asking price is $5000 obo. I have put ALOT of money into this car to do proper professional bodywork, if you have something to say about the price, feel free to mutter it to yourself as I don't care.

Pictures, sorry the car is quite dirty in the pics. The Euro Smilies are not included. I will be replacing them with the standard USDM headlights. Also, the fogs are not included.

What kind of body work have you recently done to this car?

For that money my friend, you best include the fogs, oh and a IS lip spoiler. Should include the shadowline drip rail on the passenger side as well. Your body shop forgot to include the original black painted rockers which rap around the car. I'd go back to them if you spent a load of money on the body work. You should also include the mileage. thx

M tech II steering wheel was on it as well before it sold here on MaxBimmer.

I understand...he's trying to recover some or all of the cost on the body work. Who wouldn't? The M-tech1 wheel should be in it though.

So, you don't get fogs, headlights, rain gutter trim, lip of any kind, basketweaves, tow hook cover, Mtech wheel, and you get to re-do the butcher job on the exhaust cut-out on the rear valance. You're sure you don't want to part it out?

I would calm down my friend. Car did not come with a lip, or basket weaves, or the m3 wheel it had (previous owner kept it), or the rain gutter trim. The whole car has not been painted, it did not have the original rocker black to start. I would prefer to keep the euro smilies, if I got a decent off and the buyer want's them I would consider leaving them on the car, same goes for the fogs. I do have a set of basket weaves that DID NOT come with this car, if the buyer wants some basket weaves, we could work something out.

This car has been on max before, and it was cheaper. I want to mention how the previous guy's selling the car hid the rust very well in their pics. The driver side quarter and part of the rocker were the major areas that needed work, I also had some work done on the rear plate area, the rear valence, and the doors, I'm sure there are some spots I'm forgetting. I forget what the mileage is at, will have to check. I havent driven it much since I bought it.

For those who can't read, my price is negotiable, thats what "obo" means; or best offer.

right, key word is "was"; past-tense. The wheel did not come with the car when I bought it, and I did not buy if off max.

here's the original sale thread btw:
http://www.maxbimmer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=121322&highlight=318is

There was only 1 rust spot when I owned the car; the one over the rocker (as mentioned in my sale thread). I'm not sure how much damage the guy after me did to this car (unfortunately because it was MINT). So when you say 'previous guy's hid the rust well', you mean previous 'guy' only, its not plural.

And let me be honest - I sold the car for $3800 at the time, with the sportmaxx rims, mtech wheel, euro smileys; everything. I'm dissapointed to say, the guy who sold you the car must not have taken good care of it those few months he had it! :(

Having said that, this is why I believe you're overpriced. glws.

btw, I'm posting this because I still keep getting pm's about this car where ppl ask me about the condition. I can no longer comment on the condition now, go see it for yourselves!

To the best of my knowledge there have been 2 owners since you sold the car, so it is plural and I guess doesn't apply to you, and if you say the car was in that good shape then unfortunately whoever had it in between did not take good care of it. So you sold the car for 3800 with the wheel and some sportmax and the smilies. Considering you sold it for that much, I think me selling for 5kobo is reasonable, as it now has no major rust, its been taken care of. As I stated earlier, my price is negotiable. Your original asking price was 4500, mine is 5000, sure I am asking a bite more than you with a few less parts but I did not buy the car directly off of you and did not get all the parts you sold the car with, so its not fair to compare prices that way. And also I am selling it with a repaired body, that has to be worth something (and if I know my oldschool cars correctly, which I do, its worth quite a bit). You always see cars for sale that need some minor body work and little touches and this and that, you never see a completely repaired car for sale. That being said this car has now has no rust, and is ready for the new owner's color of paint.

Thank you for being an adult and understanding the car could possibly not be in the same shape you sold it in. For those who don't believe me about the rust I don't really care, unless you are interested in the vehicle I believe my body guy took pictures prior to fixing the rust, and if your serious I can go about trying to get those pics.

^sure, but my argument here is when I sold it, it was in almost the same condition as you have it now, plus i had all the extras and lower mileage... and less owners. Don't get me wrong, I would still vouch for this car anyday, its the most fun car I've ever owned.

c'mon now Michel, you and me both know that when it comes to these older cars that A)mileage doesn't mean anything, its how clean the shell is, and B)owners doesn't matter either. The car is not in the same shape it was back then, the body is now rust free. The plate area was bad, the lower edges of the doors were bad, and the rear valence was bad, they have now been repaired. Key word there is almost. I guess we can argue all day back and fourth as to what your definition of almost is, I know we wont get anywhere. If your that serious about wanting to see the condition of the car, your free to come take a look.

True , but at the same time very sad. I think you recall when I sent you the PM about it. I wanted to overlook the fact that it was not the original paint. Than when I called, the PO told me that it needs the ball joints. You should not get the Ball joint for the BM, you go get the control arm. (not cutting corners). That is why I backed out. I realized, there is more than a body work... I am sure there were some other things, especially since the current owner pointed out about the wheel missing.

I don't know if thats the case with the car now, i had to get it safetied with no issues. I do not comprehend how a changed steering wheel translates into the car has issues? Its as simple as the previous owner wanted to keep his steering wheel. When I say this I want you to understand I'm not trying to offend you, but if you are looking to buy a 19 year old car and expecting it to be perfectly trouble free, maybe you should't be buying a 19 year old car. I am not hiding anything from potential buyers.

I am not quite sure where did you find that. In fact, I have never said that the steering wheel can cause issues to the car. Check my posts again.

eitherway, I can comment that for most of this cars life, its been VERY well maintained. The owner before me was very meticulous and detailed (he's owned e34 m5's, e30 m3's etc..) so the history is there. Someone will be getting an excellent base car here.

I apologize, it was confusion on my side*th-up*. I meant to say the ball joint that the previous owner brought up. Also I was not sure if the M tech II wheel came, until you just told me now. I hope you sell the car and GLWS. I think the rest of us on here were very nice to you.

It's just that we pointed out some things out. ;)

To the best of my knowledge, the last to guys that had the car were planning on doing body work, the price of bodywork scared them so the listed the car for sale.

I was going to completely restore it and build it for the track. Summer came, I am dumping a shit tonne of money into my AE86 to get it the way I want it and have decided the money spending should stop there. I have 2 other E30's, once is my girlfriends that I need to get wrenching on asap.

I have an altezza, an E46, 2 AE86's, 3 E30s, and a bike. The car doesn't have a curse or anything, lol. I just have too many cars. Did you get my email? are you still planning on coming by to take a look at the car?

I totally understand, I just sold a 325is e30 here last month, it was in decent shape but a bit too much of a project to be a dedicated daily. Its always fishy when a car turns over quickly, but that can easily be cleared up by seeing and driving the car. you have to admit that 20 years on there are A LOT of money pit e30s out there, and I'm not saying that about this car!

That being said I think I will visit this guy and check it out.... I've almost got my daily driver situation figured out so it'll be time for a toy soon!
