I'm working on an animation involving cars and racing and heel and toe is probably one of the main factors used for drift and I wanted to show it.

does it look like heel and toe? if not, what's the right ordering of the pedals. I plan to speed it up to around 2 seconds total

thanks for the help guys

I'll be adding the character's motions and the brake and clutch are too low so I'll be moving those later..I just wanna make sure I have the pedal order correct.

Indicisive: Good job! I've been using lightwave since v3.0 on the old Amiga. I have 6.5 on pc. I think the clutch should be depressed while the throttle is "blipped". Also, a shifter would be a nice addition to show what is going on. If you need any help with the program I might be able to help but remember I use an older version.

Miguel

I'm considering doing a shifter..but I'm pretty strapped for time...I have until June and I haven't started any real animating yet...I'm still in the modelling process..so if I have time by the end of May then I'll throw in a shifter scene.

thanks for the help guys. and Lightwave is a good program to use. a LOT easier to get into than 3dsmax

Indecisive: Where did you download that mest for the NSX? It looks like a great object to start with and a little more detail added can only make it better.

Tip: Increase the specularity of the painted car body surface a little bit. It will make the details more visible and give it that zaino finish too. Some serious rims, rotors and calipers might help to but it will increase your poly-count drastically.

I got the nsx from the datashop cd...it's from the 1997 disk. I'll upload it for you.

I'll do the specularity thing but the rims and whatever I won't...this isn't evn the main character's car. thanks for the suggestions though

ahha doode that's sweet!!

I haven't had a chance check out those tutorials yet..been too busy wif my animation

instead of doing my novel study which is due 2morrow morning.....I worked on my heel and toe again.

took me 2 hours to get the feet looking like they're pressing the pedals..shits...heh

http://indecisive.jusunlee.com/dark_fox/pedals_kenta.avi

if the speed is too slow let me know..I can probably speed it up in premier during "post production"

each character will have it

SpudBoy

that's coming along pretty well. only problem with LW and 3D in general is that it takes:

a long time to learn modeling

a long time to learn surfacing

a long time to learn animation

and a long time to learn lighting and camera techniques

undoubtedly...damns...but I think I've done pretty well, got into 3d animation in september. and have been working on this street racing thing since late February.
