'97 M3 5-spd, Estoril Blue

Really hate having to do this, but I've bought myself a new toy, and I don't have the parking space at my condo for all my toys. So I'm either looking for A)Sell the car, or B) Indoor Climate Controlled Storage at a cheap price if it's not sold in the next month.

Car is in amazing shape, I still get tons of compliments on it. Some of the pics below are from a random guy who stopped me at a gas station wanting to take pics of it he loved it so much!

Fresh Paint on the Car, as I just had the front bumper replaced at Autopia, the best high-end shop around at a price of 3+g's. Took care of those pesky rock-chips too! Car has no rust on it, it is also undersrayed by Krown.

Car comes with 2 sets of rims and tires, of which both are shown, or can lower the price slightly if you just want 1 set. Currently wearing Blizzak's.

Stereo has been replaced with a colour matching MP3 deck w Bluetooth, as well as a wired mic for handsfree, and IPHONE/IPOD wireless stereo connectivity as well as USB port for charging/playing. Maintainance is up-to-date and I have a complete collection of receipts for work done. Most recently did new O2 sensor, bushings/balljoints/misc suspension. Last maintance was just yesterday at Bimmersport for a brake light switch and regular oil change.

Car runs very strong as the engine has been babied. Sadly I don't think I've ever even taken the thing above 5,000rpm! Never used anything but Shell 91high octance, and 90% of driving is 407ETR for work, so she never see's stop and go.

This car has NOT been lady driven! ie: I've regularly check and top up oil and fluids. I take it in for regular maintance. I regularly hand wash it. I shift gears properly, I don't drive over curbs. I park as far away as possible from other ppl, etc
(*Not talking about the fine ladies on maxbimmer of course!)

Asking Price $11,800

Interested Buyers please email me radmelick@gmail.com

Cooling System and RTABS have been done recently, Clutch is still original and in great shape as it's babied. Never raced or tracked.

HAHAAhaha.. ya, exactly, the aftermarket ones tend to move a tiny bit, every so often I have to twist it a little bit. Didn't even notice it when i took the pic!

the whole car was resprayed or just the bumper?
I assume the rear shock mounts have been replaced since you are up to date on your maintenance?
vin #

thanks btw

When I had the bumper done, I had the door/front/back fenders resprayed to clean up door dings and scratches, they did not do the roof or trunk as they were in good shape, otherwise it'd be a 6k job.

And Yes, the Rear Shock Mounts were replaced along with Z4 re-inforcement plates as one of the first items when I got the car.

this is shaping up to be a real beauty*th-up*

Dude seriously stock RSMs are like $25ea. What does it matter, if it means finding a car like this in decent shape, jump on it already.

The rsms could be blown to shit n I'd still be interested as it is a cheap part.

shouldnt this have an M 3spoke steering wheel?!?! was it replaced??? or was that something of an option for first time buyers in 97?!?! Great looking car regardless.. im just asking out of curiosity

05-09-2010, 09:54 PM
I was about to ask the same thing I have a 97 and it has the 3 spoke on it that wheel looks like an OBD1 model

05-09-2010, 11:24 PM
Ive seen later year cars with that steering wheel . its normal

05-10-2010, 10:14 PM
I was under the impression 3-spokes were only on 98-99's. This is the same wheel that came from the factory!

05-11-2010, 03:51 AM
dephrag is correct.

05-11-2010, 10:19 AM
...made it's debut in '98.5- 4 spoke is correct for '97.

Nice car. There's a guy by the name of 'cracky' on m3f.net who is here in Toronto and is looking for EXACTLY what you're offering. I sent him a PM letting him know about this thread.

I have owned a 97 with 3 spoke 'M' wheel
4 spoke seems odd
Very clean car though! Someone should jump on this!

05-11-2010, 12:00 PM
as pointed out 4 spoke is normal for this year.

I like the 3 spoke better to, but its not a hard or expensive swap(4 spoke to 3 spoke)
