Hey,
Lets hear some 1/4 miles times and speed, I'm curious to hear what you guys are running.
Best I've run is a 13.9 @ 105mph, 3200 ft altitude not corrected.
Currently 14.3 @ 100mph with bagged motor which is out and apart at the moment, new motor being built with all the trimmings.
Targets 300rwhp from 2.1L 8 valve m10 engine combine the 2400lb chassis for some outstanding forward motion.

90.5mm Flat forged Mahle pistons, custom length Pauter forged 4340 rods, stock crank. Ceramic coating on piston tops, combustion chamber, valves, exhaust ports, stainless steel header and turbo housing. Double valve springs, titanium retainers, adjustable cam sprocket, modified new stock camshaft. Combustion chambers welded up and reshaped with 8.5:1 static compression ratio. ARP head studs and 'fire ring' headgasket.

SDS EM-2F programmable engine management with distributorless crank triggered ignition. E30 318i intake manifold, 2.25" ID throttle body, bosch 550cc injectors, and porsche 911 turbo fuel pump.

Large front mounted intercooler with ~3.5 feet of 2.5" tubing from turbocharger to throttlebody(very short). Porsche 944 turbo bypass valve to dump intake pressure on throttle closings.

Turbonetics T04E/T3 turbocharger, deltagate external wastegate, 2.5" exhaust system, boost controlled via electronic controller set to 16-18psi.

Not really bolt on stuff eh?! Man you set-up sounds sweet! You sir are an isparation for all m10 owners.

Is your car a sleeper, or a mean looking killar like Randy's ride?

I couldn't justifly spending that much $ on my 84 318. I'll think I keep it bone stock for now.

Nope total sleeper. Randy's E30 is awesome looking, great example of how to build a BMW. Once I am done building the drive train it will be onto the body, already have E30 M3 leather front seats installed and the rest of the interior looks pretty good. Not sure how to go yet on the outside, have a complete ground effects kit, part bbs part zender. Also have euro bumpers front and rear which are going on before spring. 15x7" rims are looking pretty dated, may look at some 17x7.5. May look at a slight widebody simular to E30 M3, we'll see.

mods-GIAC chip, k&n drop in filter

87 325-15.93 @84.5mph
mods-chip, cone filter intake, headers, 3.46 lsd, exhaust

i did 2 runs ever since i got my car and even that was just with a g-tech so not sure if the numbers are ok or if the car goes faster anyways.

15.4 @ 92 mph was the better one out of those two

how do you run 14.1 at ONLY 92 mph?

...it's not a proportional courve.

You can do 14.2 @ 95mph ... as you can do 14.1 @ 94 mph ....

some cars have best performance 0-30 mph but do not get a 40-80 so good (example)

i still dont believe it...unless you lifted off..
it just doesnt match up....how can you rip outta the hole soo fast and then slow down that much??? the car would have to almost collapse to go that slow(mph) with a 14.1..again.unless yuo lifted the throttle.

ET is more about traction, mph has more to do with hp. This is greatly simplified.

i knwo it does...and how the shit does he hook like that?
it still doesnt make sense to me...even a DSM would have a hard time doing that....it almost impossible.
i run at 92 mph trap speed...i have a fwd car...but....no way you can make over a second with rear drive or awd (maybe with slicks) but theres no way you your traps would be that low.
im not flamming...just in all my years around...this is one of the ones that DOES NOT make ANy sense.

could it maybe be that he happen to run out of nitrous half way down the track and his run should have really been a high 13?? Unlikely but quite a possibility. Heck in a dsm ive been 13.4@96mph
