The boys at Bimmersport are the best period. No one has ever treated me in this professional and efficient manner ever. Iíve been to alot of shop but this is the one I am staying with until I sell out of the BMW community or when Charlie closes shop. Thank you so much you guys truly are my second family and always makes things right. *wave**wave**wave*

I can say lots Charlie is an excellent technician, he managed to make an estimated time of repair of 2 hours time, I provided the parts for $250 installed. He magically turned it into a roughly $500-$600. Then he gave me the 8 HOURS of fun fun fun in his waiting room while the mechanic who was working on my car got to pull the motor from his eurospec m3 then go back to working on my car then working on some other car. More fun was to be had for the 8 HOURS filled with fun and laughter as other vehicles were coming in going out from the back and then the tow truck driver is sent into the waiting area to ask if I want to sell my car in front of other customers who are coming and going throughout the day. Now the icing on the cake I booked the appointment 2 weeks prior to this glorious day off from work thinking I would be out before lunch I WAS THE FIRST PERSON THERE IN THE MORNING 1ST CUSTOMER BOOKED FOR THE DAY I BROUGHT THE PARTS AND THE LAST PERSON TO LEAVE THE SHOP (it was brakes and valve adjusts E30 shock mounts and a caliper were extra) OH YEAH THE BILL CAME IN AT JUST UNDER $900 YEAH NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS! Oh and Charlie he was on the internet all day hands didn't get dirty that day. VERY PROFESSIONAL I WANT TO TAKE A DAY OFF WORK FOR A BRAKE JOB AGAIN AND WORRY TOW TRUCK GUY WANTS A PIECE OF MY CAR. WHAT CAN I SAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ALOT.

To be fair Charlie is a great guy and they DO excellent work, yes wait times are long and yes for something they maybe more expensive but the quality of the work is excellent. I don't take my car to any forum sponsor's regularly but when i do take it to bimmersport i am satisfied by the work. My 2 cents.

LOL is it such a huge concern of your as to why Charlie didnít get his hands dirty?? Do you know how many years he has been getting his hands dirty?? Itís his shop and has built it from the ground up so if he doesnít want to work that day itís his choice. I have seen him plenty of times drilling away at car so you see him one day not working and oh this is unacceptable. Grow up man this board is full of fu*king babies. Hey the next bimmer meet someone should sell pacifiers. They would make a fortune !!

Well put

P.S. I wanna retract the above comment made about members on here being babies. I just hate seeing an honest trustworthy shop being bashed. I do realize though the words I chose are harsh so for that I apologize but people if you have nothing nice to say dont say anything at all. Discrediting someones shop does nothing. If you didnt like the service simply dont go back.

I'm sorry I have to agree with cocacola. Always weird long waits before they even bring in your car (with an appointment of course), and Charlie hardly ever works on the cars anymore. Maybe he only does "important jobs" but every job done to my car is important to me.

Great back in the day but things have changed.

I won't go into how they forgot to put a nut back on my headers (still missing), overtorqued engine covers, lost lock-lug key, charging me $75 for an alignment as he hands the alignment guy $50 cash right in front of my face, etc etc...

Oh I'm sorry so sorry for having put "What can I say in my own perspective" The whole reason I went to bimmerspot in the first place was because of all the favourable comments on this website. Written by such satisfied and impressed customers, so just as you are allowed to crown him with a wreath of olive branches, then be prepared to be crowned with thorns. Maybe he didn't make you writeoff the day for a brake job and valve adjustment, maybe he didn't make you buy the catering truck food because the offer to get us customers a coffee while we are stuck there for the unplanned whole day the offer to get us a coffee (there was another customer there all day too) maybe that was too professional for him to do, get us a coffee with his clean hands. You want to stick me with a higher bill I'll eat it and go somewhere else. When you make me wait so you can get your employee to work on your toy and make me watch as you screw me not only out of money but time too. DID HE ASK ME IF I HAD TO BE ANYWHERE THE KIDS HAD TO BE PICKED UP AFTER SCHOOL I HAD TO MAKE ALTERNATE ARRANGEMENTS. All his customers pay for his expenses and luxuries it's part of his profit in his bill . I was a first time customer my first BMW , told him how I had heard so much about him trusted he knew E-30s inside and out a specialist. I WAS TREATED LIKE A GOLDFISH IN A BOWL . If you want to pay your employees to fix your own car go ahead, finish mine give me the bill then do what you want. PRETTY HARD TO HAND A GUY A $900 BILL IF YOU ONLY WORK ON IT FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF. First impressions are lasting walking around the building you see a rather large boat with his company name on it YOUR PAYING FOR IT. Then on the backside a bmw missing it's wheels not on blocks, sitting on the brake rotors apparently customer took too long to pick up his car. THIS ISN'T A CUSTOMER CAR THAT DISPUTED THE BILL THEN COULDN'T GET IT BACK NO NO WAY CHARLIE GOT PAID IN FULL FOR SURE FOR ALL THE WORK THE BUDDY FORGOT TO COME GET HIS CAR. TO GREEK THANG WHERE DID THE FIRST RESPONSE TO THIS THREAD GO IT DISAPPEARED IT WAS ANOTHER SATISFIED CUSTOMER. AS FOR BABY I'M IN MY MID 40s 2 KIDS and have had more experience than you will ever know when it comes to this. PAPPA NEEDS A NEW PAIR OF SHOES AND HE SMELLS PSARIA! All in all at the end of the day I wasn't as impressed with the level of professionalism with my experience as you were . The point I am trying to make is, as you are allowed to praise I should be allowed to comment. I thought he was a BMW god, turns out he is just a business man.

First off pops you know nothing of me or my experiences. I’m not an 18 year old kid either. Your complains are as shallow as the fish bowl you swim in. One of your complaints is because you didn’t have coffee made for you?? Are you serious!!! You want coffee and fancy doilies under your coffee cup and someone kissing your ass while your car is being repaired why not go to a BMW dealership?? Cause when the job is done and they finish kissing your ass and gently bend you over roll that $1800 bill and shove it in your you know what how would that feel ( Yeah cause having that done to you is a GREEK THING )

This is really getting annoying to be honest. I've noticed that whenever someone praises Bimmersport for a job well done, there's someone that immediately comes in and puts the shop down. Charlie caters to a lot of customers and he's always busy so there are a lot of satisfied people and I'm one of them. If you're not happy go elsewhere and no one is forcing you to recommend the place to anyone else. IF I START A THREAD STATING MY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE WITH A PLACE, YES AN ACTUAL PHYSICAL EXPERIENCE WHERE THERE WAS A LOT OF WORK DONE ON MY CAR AND I'M HAPPY WITH IT, PLEASE DON'T HIJACK IT BECAUSE YOU WISH TO BASH SOMEONE ELSE'S BUSINESS.

thanks

Like I said it's business . I didn't plan on being there the whole day, neither did the mother who had her 3 year old with her waiting too. The dealer would have charged more for the work initially but it wouldn't have grown 400% without my signature and if a conflict occurred I wouldn't fear leaving the car there until it was resolved. Like I said it's business the shop is busy customers don't like waiting around. If you want them to return step up to the plate and get your hands dirty, if you have to. If return business or new business doesn't concern you because you have so much work your shop is so busy , well then my bad day, lost day in pay, get home late, not do what I wanted to or planned, story is just a little complaint . It won't affect their business, heck people complain about Can-Tire but it is still going strong. bimmerspot will always have business don't you worry it will be there for you until you stop driving bimmers. Me I'll go where I, as a customer is top priority not waiting while the shop plays with its toys. I'll pay (the money wasn't the big issue, the screw job of wasting my day was) but I won't wait while others are coming and going, and the mechanic goes from my car to the show car all day. As for the boat nobody said he can't be sucessful in fact it makes for a great impression, this guy must be good to make enough for a boat like that. After my experience I thought how many brake calipers and rotors got replaced when they were still good sensors that needed cleaning got replaced, I am a repair technician I know how the business of repairs works. Making money isn't against the law last time I checked, but if you want mine you are going to have to work for it like I did to get it. I would like to thank everyone for their input to this thread positive or negative. If bimmerspot is your choice of repair facilities, enjoy.

I cant understand the fact that you ACTUALLY paid $900 when he quoted you 2 hours labor.

You must be the kind of person who people walk all over and this charlie guy did just that and the best thing, you allowed it.

Next time settle all your problems right away at the shop before leaving, none of us really want to hear your crying.

All this is, is another bad comment to bimmersport, I cant believe people still take their cars there. Must be retards.

For some reason "a lot" of negative feed back threads about certain shops magically disappears from this site...

Interesting

This is the service industry, yeah servicing vehicles is what matters, but customer service is also important. It's the little things that count. If you know you will have customers waiting around for a good portion of the day from time to time it wouldn't take much to set-up a lounge area with a couch, TV, coffee machine, and magazines (all expenses that can probably be written off anyways). I went to Brafasco last week to buy some hardware for a project, after telling the guy all the bits and pieces I wanted he pointed me to a coffee machine where I could grab a cup while he went and got all my parts together. Do they have to do that? No, but I definitely appreciate the gesture and I am more likely to go back there because of it.

I am a repair technician I know how the business of repairs works.

To be fair you probably should have started your own thread about your experience rather than coming in this thread and posting it.
I know this is besides the point, but next time just do the work yourself *th-up* E30's are pretty easy to work on. The work you listed can easily be done casually during an afternoon on a weekend. If you lived closer I'd do the work for a case of beer *wave*

Hey, I'm new here.

But I knew that bimmersport were shaddy a loooooooooooooooooong time ago, just thought I'd express my opinion and possibly stop other people from wasting time and money with this shop.

If you guys have money to fix your car at the shop, why not take it to the shop that has 0 negative feedback as opposed to the one that has only negative feedback. Seems like a no brainer to me, but not to others.

Michel

I never had any personal issues with that shop as I'm an idiot to take my car there.

There is no need for making a new thread when you can contribute to an existing thread.

Bashing business hah? If I was telling lies then yes, it'd be bashing. When I and other people tell the truth its called being honest and looking up for others.

My advice, since you never had bad experience there...to post your positive feedback in their section as you have NO experience with my shop, and you are assuming other members are "easy to walk all over" when you clearly do not know them. I find this personally, quite childish and showing you have some sense of insecurity assuming a person's mentality who you have never met. Also talking about how Tom's car is not running - but that is not my issue to clear up as he can speak for his own experience.

As Michel is saying...what is on the internet, is not every single situation of the shop. He finds it really odd, that the customers of "0 negative feedback" shops bump our old threads to try and expose something? However, my customers do not dig up info that is all over non BMW forums about the "0 negative feedback" shop. On top of that positive feedback is attempted to turn into negative, instead of those with negative posting their own - if a person is content with what they got, posting in such a manner will not change their mind.

Bullet Ride,

From day 1 of working at Bimmersport 6 years ago - at our old shop coffee machines and a fridge full of cold drinks was fully and freely accessible. We have now the fridge inside the workshop due to space (sorry). I recently have switched our Free WiFi with Rogers Hi speed, to Bell Fiber as we have customers who choose to work out of our waiting room (which has always been an option in the last 4 years of being in this building upon request).

Dado,

Clearly this thread may be locked as bumping a thread a year old, with no personal experience is similar to a form of harassment and defamination from a party with a mutual motive from a competitor as seen in the past. Threads that have disappeared have a lot more depth than what you read on your screen, the rest is beyond my jurisdiction to disclose. For example one attempt simply failed:

http://www.maxbimmer.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1484240&postcount=20

However, forum mods and admins can confirm I do not request for threads to be deleted just because I don't like or agree with the OP, in fact I don't mind for them to remain on here as for instances like these - it does not relate to my work practice and ethic which is current and is in relation to that under old management. Companies change from experiences, and that's what I try to show and have proven to our clients including some past clients with weary experiences (that are still clients now for the record).

To past customers with negative experiences that are not current,

I am very happy if you have found a home for your BMW, however as Bullet Ride states bumping threads about a year old is not logical and just in the overall picture, brings down the reputation of this board (the members is what makes the board). Also Considering that these situations are about old management which emphasized my statement furthermore.

For the record, if you feel that we would strip your car by the way we look, talk or act or our presence around us you clearly have a misconception of who we are as people (with families just like you). If someone told you we stripped it because of an unpaid bill, you believe thats the truth when I have 2 cars sitting with excess of $2500 bills on their cars and they're still in tact in fact right next to me. It really does not matter if we don't tell you the truth about another clients car, it is not of your concern. One person's mentality in the shop does not reflect the thoughts and ethics of those surrounding - in most cases (one being "new_member" here, his desperate attempts remind me of a history with other maxbimmer sign in names).

Either way, I will most likely be seeing you guys at the meets this year and for a community based locally there is no point of such tension when we are all basically neighbors with a common interest. I am not one to have tension, and hard feelings over the internet dispute. Until then, enjoy your BMWs in good health. *th-up*

Best Regards,

Jon
