It means that you are pre-wired for bluetooth, but the important parts are not there.
Most people (myself included) are going with a Parrot ck3000 bluetooth box and then an aftermarket steeringwheel control box (connect2 or aduicom) that allows your existing buttons to be used with the aftermarket bluetooth.
Used it with my blackberry & I love it.

Thanks for the info. I am going to do this. BMW wants $500.
These are the following parts for e92
Connects2 CTPPAR016 - http://www.lowcostcaraudio.co.uk
parrot hands free kit - ebay.ca

I assume its $500 for just the parts. This OEM BMW ULF box is just stupid money for the e46. I can't see why it would be cheaper for the e90.
The electrical connections are pretty straight forward. You unplug your HU & insert this connect2 (or quickconnectproducts) adapter kind of like a short extention cord & then plug that into your HU.
The most intensive removing your dash peices to remove your HU and routing the mic wire up the A-pillar to your OEM mic position.
Last note - I have only done this on my e46. I just assume the connect2 setup will be similiar for the e90.

I am not sure. When I bought the car the sales guy told me it was 500. I went back a few weeks ago for maintenance and I asked the service guy. He told me it was very expensive and didn't give me an amount. lol. maybe he thought I couldn't afford it. lol
Do you plan on installing this kit yourself or are you going to an audio shop? let me know what you decide to do.
