Hey, I know image one was the stock m3 spoiler. What about the two m3's in image two?

I'm of course referring to 'if I may', the spoiler extension????!??!?

If it was an option was it also an option for the sport evo, or was it just an option for the evo sport and the other m3's adopted it? Also, what is it called.

Thanks guys.

i've seen a couple of Sportevo For sale on a german website, and i'm pretty sure that it was an option.

option only on the sportevo, or on every M3, i don't know...

have you cheked realoem.com?

Are you referring to the gurney flap? The carbon piece that deflect additional air up?

I think gurney flaps are cool and they *really* push up the air. But you need a well designed one, meant for the car (meaning tested) for it to do any good. Otherwise its more of a parachute than a wing. For looks though, they look bad-ass.

everlast do you know if they have a replica evo iii flap for the e36?

I can't seem to source one out.

Don't think I've seen an E36 one. Which spoiler are you talking about? They're obviously specific to each spoiler.

Hartge used to have an adjustable rear E36 spoiler. UUC also used to have a knockoff version of it made in CF... Not sure who sells this style wing anymore however. Go scout the Bimmerforums classifieds.

Any spoiler, I would install any OEM spoiler that can take a flap.

Preferably the e36 m3 wing, without the light. But those are hard to source aswell.

For an E36 or E36? I'm easily confused.

Everlast- I'm looking to get one for a e36. It seems that the evo iii e30 flaps are around every corner, but I can't find one for the e36.

Wait, this just came to me. I can theoretically use a evoiii flap can't I?

It would entirely depend on what spoiler you can find that fits the E36 that matches the E30 M3 spoiler that its intended for. The EVO spoiler has bolts in the bottom to attach and allow adjustment. You can't just slap this on any spoiler you find.

Are you doing this for looks or function?

I'm doing it for looks. However, function would be a welcomed gain.

So you're telling me I have to find a wing that has predrilled holes specifically for a flap. So I guess OEM spoilers are out of the question. I really wanted it to be oem.

Hey yah, they both stopped producing them. I've checked all of bimmerforums and all i find are threads with people looking for the uuc and hartge spoilers.

I wanted to keep it oem e36 and just attach a flap, but everlast mentioned that that's not too possible.

Thanx for the help and clarification everlast. I'll try to find an adjustable hartge.

I'm not saying its not possible but there's nothing out there that will just bolt up. You could always have something made.

If I ever need more downforce than my MtechII provides (e30) i have a spare trunk lid that I would put a cheap huge adjustable aluminum wing and swap it on for track days. But the MtechII did a surprisingly good job in controlling the 'wallow" from the rear end at high speed.

I would, but it will probably cost more.

In regards to down force I don't really need it for going fast. I just have a build in mind which can't do without it asthetically.

Anything other than "somewhat functional" will be ghetto, IMO. Gotta pay to play for stuff like this.
