Anyone with obd 1 scanner please let me know as I need to get my car scanned.
my check engine light is on, and its been drinking gas like crazy!
I tried many shops but they only have an obd2 scanner
My motor is M60 and its a 1995 740i

try unhooking the battery for a few minutes, re-hook and take for a drive. See if the check engine light comes back on. sometimes all it needs is a reset

just hibernated over the winteer lol, gota fix the car before summer. Its drinking gas like its free lol

I had a similar situation. My check engine light came on. Not sure about mileage as I dint rest till i fixed it. Turned out that the gas filler cap did not keep pressure. check engine on the E38 is usually exhaust related. I know a guy in streetsville who can scan your car. Let me know if u need assistance.
