What kind of strut brace is that?

03-20-2010, 02:21 PM
I've put a lot of bolt ons while the engine was out.

Forged underdrive pulleys, Chip, OBD-I intake, headers, full Redline synthetics from engine to diff, 16 lb fly wheel, stage 3 clutch and all the suspension goodies I could afford without going coilovers.

The sway bar upgrades where well worth it....

The stut brace is from Ultraracing

wow those are some good numbers without opening the engine!

03-20-2010, 02:23 PM
All the small stuff added up. The synthetics from front to back are said to be worth 7whp.

03-20-2010, 03:14 PM
All said and done what did that 237hp cost you?

03-20-2010, 03:20 PM
More than I'd like to share, but well worth every penny after the first drive.

more than 10 grand for everything? Just seeing how economical it is.

03-20-2010, 10:13 PM
There's nothing 'economical' about it. The least expensive way to to buy one with the conversion done already.

A friend of mine might be selling his 4 door S50 swapped E30 for well under 10k.

The problem is with such a big change in drive train, and with the car apart I chose to upgrade everything else to match the S52's new power. Lots of suspension work, cooling, brakes, etc. It all adds up.

I found out there's no real economical way to do the job right.

But I can say everything that has been upgraded or replaced has made a huge difference and everything works well together.

Just my 2 cents.

How does it pull? Got a vid? Can you take me for a ride :)

03-29-2010, 01:23 AM
It pulls hard thanks in part to the 3.25 LSD. First and second are tricky, Third is the sweetest.

I don't have a camera for taking any vids. As for a ride, I'll be at the first spring meet.

sweeet :D
