Just wondering if anyone knows what i'm talking about. But i've seen some bmw's with lights at the bottom where your feet are. Is that an option which only came on some bmw's?

Mine has them too, and the previous owner replaced the bulbs with LEDs so they're incredibly bright at night.

later model bmw's had/have them. earlier models no. at least not the e30's. I'm sure it's easy to wire up a set from a later model bmw. Get the lights out, wiring and run them to the door pillar where the button is that controls the courtesy light when the doors are open.

97+ newer on 3's, i think all e39's have it.

e32's had this feature as well.

Looks like they're amber too... I still wanna put in "mood lights" that are amber. But for now I've replaced all the interior lights with white SMD leds. I'm not sure I'm happy with the brightness...there's 6 SMD leds per festoon but it might still not be enough. And what's weird is the light is very white, but since at night all the lamps outside are yellowish, it tends to look blue...

doogee and i noticed this comparing his and mine when we were installing sport seats.
id be interested in doing the swap also.
it would appear that bmw used 92 as the beta year as almsot everything about my car is exclusive to that year. from drl wiring to the doors having the buttons to indicate ajar.
