Hey everyone.
So I went to work on the 24th evening. When I finished my shift it was about 11.30 at night and there was about 1cm of snow on the car. I brushed it off and proceeded to turn on the car and turn my lights on. As I did that the headlights came on but my cluster light was off. When i went outside to check my lights I also noticed my passenger taillight (parklight) was out. Iv had this problem before with water leaking in when it would rain so I knew it was a fuse. As i drove home on the highway my gas gauge would usually dip like 1/8th for some reason but this time it didnt do it. I kept driving the car with these lights off not changing the fuse and I have noticed my gas mileage has gotten better. Before I would get about 4km/l but now im getting close to 6-8km/l  (Which i am very happy for). My lack of car knowledge has made me assume that something incharge of the fuel intake perhaps was faulty giving me a crappy mileage before and now thats its off im burning better? In all honestly like iv said in previous threads i have very slight car knowledge so if anyone possibly knows please help! Thanks =)

yea i was starting to think that i may just be trippiin out. but its weird. im gunna replace the fuses and see if anything changes. if not than i have had a mental break down. if so than i'll repost my findings

not a mental breakdown but we all seem to make ourselves believe what we want to see happening, even by fluke. i've had some of those moments lol

Hey maybe you just put 91 octane fuel in and that made a huge difference in millage, maybe you had regular before.

its xx l/100km, not the other way around. so less is more. if you're getting 6-8 now it means you're consuming more fuel.

and since when did e30s get anything less than 9l/100km

Have you filled up the tank yet and checked what your actual milage yet. It could be loose conections causing faulty readings in your cluster as you did say the gauge lights were out ?????? It is common for the clusters to go and do weird things

Hey I can get 40Miles/Gallon (US Car) in my 5th gear (91 Octane) on highway NO PROBLEMS! That is about 5.8L/100KM. and always trying to squiza :huh?: 30-35Miles/Gallon normal driving (8L/100KM) well I do spin it in 1st, 2nd gear for more than I should on start ups ....so I say getting 10L/100KM average for sure.

Yea i always fill high octane at shell. So off my full tank ?which i think is 45L? i get like 200km (220km MAX). Anyway if its common for an e30 not to get more than 9km/L than i'm sadly going to have to just live with that. Based on the age and mileage I would assume I would get nowhere close to 9km/L at this point so its all good. I think i'll just do a tune up. See if that helps atleast restore some power.

It's not 9km/L, it is 9L per 100km. You are confusing yourself again.

and if you get 200km out of a full tank, that would be 22.5L per 100km which is beyond

terrible!

Also, I think the tank is more like 55L

Well im just expressing it in a different ratio. 22.5L per 100km is equal to 10km/2.25 L in that case. If i fill 40L of gas and get 220km than my ratio works out to 5.5km/L which seems crappy but whatever. Gunna deal with it for now
