Looks amazing in person. There is a black metallic one inside the Town and Country showroom - loaded with 20" wheels, sport package.
My favourite is the two-way rear hatch - and plenty of room inside.
For me overall the GT is the perfect cross between a 5 series (too bland for me) and an X6 (too large).

Let's see, motor from a 750i... dynamic drive control from a 750i... interior space from a 750i... dash and interior layout and technology from a 750i... priced 20-30% less than a 750i. You guys suck at math if you think that equation means it's too expensive!

How can you complain about the depreciation of a 750i when you own a 2006 M5? They depreciate just as badly. High end cars always do, it's not exclusive to 750s or BMWs at all.

You won't ever find me buying a brand new car, unless I know i will keep it until the wheels fall off, which I doubt will ever happen, since I get bored of cars very quickly. (already owned 22 different cars in my 10 years of driving). I still actually remember the new m5's sitting at the dealer, sporting the 115,000+ price tag. Told myself I would wait a bit.

I personally purchased my M5 for $50,000 last year taxes in, with 54,000kms at the time. It currently has 76,000kms on it right now,- I can get the majority, if not more or break even quite easily. I'm a bargain hunter.

My only cost could possibly just be insurance/gasoline and regular maintaince.

I plan on selling the vehicle this spring comming up ;)

I can personally tell you, i have never lost on any car I have owned, and if I did, it was very insignificant and equaled peanuts compared to VALUE vs DOLLAR.. been driving for free, other then tying up cash for the longest time..

If you've never bought a new car then what basis do you have to go on saying the 550 GT is too expensive? It's a steal compared to a 2010 E60 550i or a 2010 750i.

And you really do need to see it in person for the people saying it's ugly. The pics are horrible, in the metal with 20s and a good colour make all the difference.
