So I've been reading article after article on how changing your fluids (engine to diff) can get you an extra 8 to 10 hp to the wheels.

http://www.europeancarweb.com/projectcars/0110ec_bmw_m3_reducing_frictional_loses/index.html

This has been dyno proven and it makes sence. Why pay for more power when its easier and less expensive just to free up the power that you already have.

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE YOU CAN BUY REDLINE OILS IN THE GTA?

JRP in Mississauga is a dealer and has plenty in stock. Tires23 sometimes has a bit but don't count on it.

Great stuff been using it in every high power car Ive owned and no engine or driveline failures.

PI carries it too.... I highly doubt you getting 10whp from oil.

LOL... How about you dyno your car with brand new regular/OE clean engine, tranny and diff, drain the oil right away and put in Redline and put it back on the dyno same day. Post the results.

I got $20 that says your not gaining 10whp from just switching to Redline oil.

Maybe if your oils are 100,000+km old and OEM you might pick up some power.

LOL I just read the articles... they dyno'd the car on different days... that alone can account for the 5-7HP they found..

Ya you're right. Buying a new OEM engine, transmission and diff is easier and much less expensive than $100 worth of synthetic lubricants to reduce fictional losses...

What was I thinking....

What I meant to say is:

Replace the oils in your engine, tranny and diff with OEM oil... Go on the dyno, drain and repeat but now with Redline on the same day only a few hours apart.

I will bet you $20 you won't see the power increase that magazine is claiming.

For some reason I rushed that last post and didn't see that I made the mistake.
