For some reason i feel like doing an E28 project...If i can find a good shell, i want to drop a newer engine in it, something on a budget...My first choice is the M60, or an M50. I've never looked into E28 swaps, but want to do something on the old school platform (total sleeper). Any ideas are welcome! *wave*

Good point. I mean, the E28 body can take some abuse when it comes to rust. I have seen quite a few E28 that have better body then a few E30S. Than again the fuss is about E30 body. Good idea for sure, but I think E28 with M60 would be ay ay ay ay ay . lol

There was a guy that did an s52 swap. I saw some of the build, didn't look fun at all. A lot of customization involved.

I also saw one with an m60 swap. looked pretty impressive. I believe there is a couple videos on youtube.

FI maybe?

^^^Nah...if i'm going FI, its going on the 318...Might drop it off at TuroReady for the winter, for a few upgrades! lol

I'm more looking to drop a V8 in something! E30 is still my first choice!

The engine bay's big enough that it's pretty much up to you abilities and imagination. Grassroots featured an E12 recently that got a big block.

Yes, engine bay size does not seem to be any issue at all...But when i looked at the car today, i can see 2 problems;
1. Brake booster; but that can be relocated like an E34 behind the headlight.
2. Steering box; looks in the way of the manifolds...but the E38/E39 is in the same location, and it somehow clears.

I've seen this one in person and it was one sweet setup.
It's an M60B40 which had some of the sexiest exhaust noises I have ever heard from an E28.
Note where the brake booster ended up at!

A BMW V8 has been dropped into an E28 south of the boarder and man that thing sounded like a Corvette with the V8 in it. the brake booster was in the front of the left side of the car behind the head lights.Keep me posted Phil on the build. It can be done!*rockout*
