looking for a turbo or charger setup would prefer custom looking for 500+hp and 400+torque it for my e36 m3 s52

Turbo hands down. Visit Bimmerforums F/I section...500+rwhp is easily doable but you'll be approaching the limit of the stock rods so for longevity you may wanna go with a "built" bottom end (rods,studs,pistons).

You'll need a seriously custom build if you want to go with a supercharger set up.

Can you even buy turbo kits for the e36 M3's? I know you can still buy super charger kits but none come close to 500hp. AA use to make a turbo kit but I don't know if it's still available. Most people seem to be fabbing their own set-ups these days.

If time is not an issue and you are willing to get your hands dirty DIY is the way to go. If not I hope your pockets are deep.

Here you go. They dynoed just over 550rwhp. For 400rwhp I say the TT kit from Nick G.

TT Stage 2 with a GT35R and Meth is a good option. Even the original TT stage 2 turbo with meth, at about 16psi would give you a nice 450rwhp+. I was opting for this with my old setup, but in reality is it usable with our chassis? Thats my POV based on driving the TT stage 2 E36 M3. I would opt for a properly setup S/C setup, but if you are set on the rush of a turbo (which is hard not to be...) I would go TT stage 2 with that upgrade (or not for now). All setups are perfect once set up right, of course with the S/C you can play with gearing to give you an ultimate setup in terms of power and driveability.

IMO, going fast is more than just pushing huge power from a motor.

hey burningx5 are you talking about a gt35r if so why bigger those snails are known for 650plus WHP thats more then enough.


actually now that i read this. you say your looking for 500whp , i might be selling my gt3776 it is still in mint condition since i purchased it last year.

max i made so far was 520whp on that turbo but i was told this week i can go in the area of 640or so whp.

pm me if interested because your gonna spend a hell of alot on a gt35r

i was referencing a bigger single turbo rather than two smaller ones tony. i already have a gt35r for my setup (only cost me $100). i'm only going to run 1 bar and am hoping for 450-500.

lol, you'd have to add $1k to that for one that hasn't seen oil yet. i did some work in exchange for it.

OP, TT tuning stg1 or 2 will give you the hp you would like along with "some" everyday drivability. Make sure your engine is in good enogh shape for boosting though. Once you start boosting the problems that arise are many. Do your research. If you decide to boost and looking for an installer who has done it, pm me.

I highly recommend not boosting a daily driver.

Care to elaborate? There are a lot of people that DD boosted cars. As long as you have a good tune and good quality parts there's no reason why a boosted car can't be a reliable DD. While DDing you're not in boost most of the time anyways.

edit: The only reason I can think of is that you'll be too temped to squeeze the go pedal because feeling the boost come in is awesome... I can only imagine what it would be like with 500hp*shiner*
