Don't really know to much about this car. The first time I've ever seen one was last week. (for sale)

I really like the way it's designed,

How rare are these car and is it uber hard to find parts?

Edit: e9, wow cool.

Edit: how would I know if it's a csl or not? ty for any help.

Post some pics, and you'll get some better answers.
CSL's are pretty rare.
For one thing, the rear side glass is plexi.
And I think hood and trunk are aluminium.
Is it a 2800., or 3.0?
CSL's should say CSL on the side.

Are you referring to the black one on kijiji located in Waterloo?
If so, I believe that is a ‘csi’. That’s about the typical asking price of ‘csi’ models nowadays.
Like any old BMW, you have to look out for rust. Shock towers, floors, rockers, behind the front fenders, etc... are all common starting points.
E3 Bavaria’s had the same rust problem areas. You can still find great examples, but be careful.

Tony is correct, CSL's come with alloy fenders and hood and plexi glass windows.
The 'L' is for lightweight hence the lighter components used....and I believe thinner steel for the remaining body panels were also used. Even the doors were made from aluminum!

Those cars are rare and parts are relatively expensive....'used'. Unfortunately, parts are also rare too in good condition.

CSL's can go for large money if done correctly but a proper restoration can run the cost of a new E92 depending on condition.
I've seen them sell for $50K+ USD, but these cars have a lot of time and money invested into them too.
One thing is for sure, these cars do not seem to be losing any value whatsoever.

This is a great site if you want to get to know E9 Coupe's

hey maluco, sorry i never responded. No it, doesn't seem to be it. I drove by it on sat it's parked on a private house lot. I've tryed calling the number on the for sale sign but no one picks up. But judging by the voice mail it's an older foreign couple. So i don't think they know of kijiji.

. I'll take a closer look next time I drive by. snap some phots

wow, I thought they'd be roughly the same as the e3's =S.

edit: I just looked at that forum the csl doesn't seem to have fogs. If I'm not mistaken the one I saw did. I still want to find out how much it costs. I'll try calling them again.
