Wait, so they do exist? I saw one once and thought it was a conversion, his friend told me he wanted 20k, which is much more reasonable then this thing.

yes, they do exist.....

the one you saw what colour was it? there are only 2 REAL ons here... a guy in BC has a mint white one that he won;t sell for less than $75K and one, black - i think - in the USA.

+1. They do come cheaper, but with all of the problems associated with a sub $10k E30 M3 and a sub $1k E30 cabrio rolled up into one enjoyable ball of hurt.

Nothing special. Those E30 M3 converts are heavy and handle like shit !

Save your money, and buy a real DTM E30 M3 and enjoy it on the track.

abeit a rare car...for that money I'd definitely rather have a proper e30 M3 and use it for what it was built for.

That pretty much sums it up doesn't it? Big reality cheque to the uninformed.

Still, I'll appreciate it for what it is. Though I'd change the colour scheme.

Ya not feelin' it. Looks awkward without the hardtop or the wing.

Too much flex in cabrios too...true sports cars don't even have sunroofs :-p

hey punnzzells, it was a red one. Is it real? I was uber shocked when I saw it. Twas like 4-5 years ago.

X5 I really think it looks awkward, and typical convertibles like these would have horrible cowl shake.

If you want a race car it certainly isn't the thing to buy. If you want a car that will always appreciate in value (assuming you don't stuff it in a barn full of bats and rats or something) get one of these. Even if you drive it it'll still keep its value.

I love the e30M3 however the Cabriolet version of it don't excite me.

No, that one was done by VLAD in NJ... was it around the London area that you saw it?

You can't compare the 2 cars.... one is a bit of a sporty Sunday cruiser and the other is an almost full out race car.... that's like saying, I'm going to compare a CRX and a REAL CAR... it just can't be done!
