Hello Everyone,

I have for sale a set of 4 19" BBS LM staggered rims. the front tires are 245's and the rears are 285's. They're massive.

the front lip is 3 inches and the rear is 5.

there is a tiny bit of curb rash on the right front tire. it's hardly visible and the tires have plenty of rubber on them.

My asking price is $2,300 but I'm willing to make a consession if you have up for trade a set of classic throwing star rims with good tires on them...

PM if interested.

Are these genuine or replicas? If the latter, your title is deceiving.

These are not LMs these are LM-Rs and these look like replicas.

BBS LM and BBS LM-R are 2 different models of original BBS wheels. The "R" does not stand for replica.

What's the difference between a Gucci handbag and a "Gucci" handbag off ebay? :P

The difference between geniune and replica usually lies in the hidden details - construction (forged vs. cast), weight, strength, finish, uniformity, spokes that don't quite curve the right way... And of course it'll be missing all the original manufactuerer's stampings

I'm taking off the rim today to see what is written on the back: there I will tell you if they are genuine or replica's

The owner of the car I recently purchased told me they're genuine BBS - He also may not be too sure.

If they are replica's i'll bring down the price to what's reasonable -

Just a note to the people of this forum...

Gurvinder reaffirmed my faith in the kindness of strangers. The man was one of the most helpful men I've ever met. Without hesitation he was helping me understand the science of Hubs and Rims and lifted my 4000 lbs M5 as it was falling off the jack.

He came to purchase my rims + tires and in the end, he was offering me help, all the way from across the other side of town.

mad respect to Gurvinder; true definition gentleman and scholar.

Are these set up for a e39? Do you know if it has a 74.1mm center bore? Thanks.

Hassan_Neil

you would need hub centric rings - which could be picked up from active green + ross

or off the net....they're inexpensive nonetheless.
