View Full Version : Help Needed Finding Parts For My Rear Bumper

The rear bumper on my car was pushed in slightly on one side, and I took it upon myself to attempt to correct it. Getting the bumper off required beating the hell out of the bolts which hold it on as they were bent and did not want to slide out for me without a fight.

I'm now in need of two of # 11, the "fillister head screw" with the part number 51 11 8 103 012.

Open Road BMW want $55 each... and that is not going to happen.

I've looked everywhere for a suitable replacement and haven't found any, but this looks promising:

Part # 13 is a "fillister head screw" with a different part number (07 11 9 920 070) but listed as the identical M12X100 size.

Can I order this insanely cheaper part or am I stuck paying $125 for two bolts?

As long as the thread pitch and the length is the same, I don't see why they wouldn't work (they're both bumper shock bolts). You might want to try and price out #21 from the first pic, as it says it comes with 2 of those bolts, among other things, and it doesn't seem very much more expensive that the price of the single bolt judging from the prices posted on that site.

You could try and pop out the bolts from your front bumper and see if they'll work on the back before you order (assuming they aren't rusted in).

The guys I spoke with this afternoon at the parts counter recommended I give them a try, and I will definitely do so now.

Thanks for the suggestion! *th-up*
