im looking for an m30 to throw into my e30.. the b35 out of an e32/ e34 would be ideal, but if you have an older version (b34 i think) that runs great i would consider it.
i also need a 5speed tranny for the m30 and a flywheel, it doesnt matter to me what year of 5/6/7series its out of, as long as it works!
let me know whats out there!

I have a 5 speed (260/6) that was out of a low mileage E28. I modified the output shaft to fit an E34, but it needs the output flange (came in a few different models - part number 23211203061) to work properly. I think it needs a shift rod seal as well - I think I have a spare one around but I'd have to check. I replaced the output shaft seal on it.
Also have a single mass flywheel from an early L-jet M30. Will work on the B35 but not on the B34. It's has a fair bit of surface rust but would be fine if it was cleaned up and resurfaced.
I was planning to keep them and do an M30 swap in my cabrio eventually, but I'd be willing to sell them for $350 ($250 for the trans and $100 for the flywheel).

id like to stay away from buying stuff from the states to avoid duty and taxes and all that wild stuff, or are there a lot of guys from this side of the border on that forum?

If you're buying stuff from an individual person and have it shipped US Postal Service, you shouldn't get charged any duties/taxes/whatever.
Just costs a bit extra for the shipping and you have to wait a week or two for it to show up.

Another option which is kinda good is trying to find a crappy 5spd e28, i seen a few on kijiji for 3 - 500bucks. You can steal the driveline (Heck it might even have a LSD) you will have everything needed and you can either sell or scrap or use the motor as a spare since you have one...
