I'm looking for rims and I found a set I really like but they are 17x7 offset is 29mm is this acceptable??

Also what tire should i run to get good curb protection and no rubbing? 205/40/17

I think the max for E30 is +25mm but I guess that doesn't answer your question. Oh well. *drunk*

As long as the wheels are only 7" wide.... +29mm will work fine on your car (although look strange from behind being very narrow and far inside the fender).

Are you sure? the + 4 mm difference would push whe wheels closer to the fenders wouldn't it?
If 24 or 25 mm is the perfect offset i'm still pretty close but if i get the 16x7.5's in the same wheel they have a 24mm offset but then I lose my bling bling styles :)

Ryan,

You've got everything BACK ASSWARDS! The higher the number in the offset.... the further IN the wheels are (away from the fender). Now does it make sense?
