325 door locks

Hey,

I'm having an issue with the locks on my '87 325. When I use the key to lock the doors from the drivers side the passenger and trunk lock but not the drivers door. If I am in the car and I lock from the drivers side everything works fine. Has anyone encountered a similar problem? Any help would be appreciated.

I believe that would be a bad lock cylinder. IIRC, the driver's lock should mechanically lock and unlock with the key. Although, when I had a bad driver's door lock, it would lock electronically with the key (ie, the microswitch would trip and cause the door to lock anyways).

Does the key turn to the lock position? To the double lock position? Try disconnecting the battery to verify the mechanical operation of the lock too.

The key turns to all positions fine. I'll try with the battery disconnected tomorrow and update.
