Chris de la Cruz

a little bit of wheel hop here and there and in hard turns all it wants to do is slide out. It's sick! :D

can you do this with any lsd that's open? if so, what exactly do you weld together? what happens when the weld breaks? im having a serious case of curious george

you weld the spider gears together inside...

after driving in the rain today, I wouldn't suggest it on a daily car... ****ing scary :D

A 'LSD' is not open. And yes, you can do this to any open differential. Just weld the spider gears together as Chris mentioned. But eventually the welds will break and it will be massive carnage inside the diff. Chances are, it will leave you on the side of the road stranded.

Do you need a stronger clutch for diff welding?

If you're thinking that welded diff makes it easier to drift... well actually its easier to hold a drift but initiation takes a bit more effort.

Let's see how my clutch holds up after this year with the welded diff.
