i just dug mine out last night to play with
thing is getting old but runs goes great! I have an hpi pro 3 with many of the carbon and aluminum upgrades and I believe it's a 7 turn motor in it. Eats the batter quick but damn does it go.

i was thinking about doing the switch fro electric to gas
I have had about 5 or electruc cars now and have been thinking about going gas since the indoor track shut down in my town

gas so no fun man too much tuning and such electric just toss in a brushless motor and ur just as fast as gas without all the parts braking and wasted time on tuning
-i have a brushless in my drift car and it was a lot faster then a 3.0cc O.S motor

I think electric can go pretty damn fast often times faster than gas but it's just such a pain in the ass having to charge the batteries. I'd like to be abke to just fuel and go. Not to mention with the set up i'm running my battery does not last very long at all. I can go through 3 in about 15 min

lol nahhh man get lipo i run one lipo for 1 hour or 45 min easy at full power... just grab one lipo batt or if u need one i got one so give me a shout if u wanna go that way

the biggest battery I have is 3600 Mah and it lasts about 5 mins
I had no idea Lipo was that good. My car is very fast i've clocked it breaking the speed limit lol so its pretty demanding for power.
do brushless motors drain the battery slower?
05-07-2009, 12:57 AM
no not much slower but you know how you gotta replace the brushs on the other motors and gotta brake them in and such
with brushless non of that direct power no worries man u will not be disappointed i have never looked back since.
i have a 2000 mAh lipo lasted me 30 min no problem and i was drifting and full power
but 3600 should last some time, what kind of charger are you using? if its a quick charger that will kill your batt too fast... and you should charge at 2.5 amps if ur using nicd if your using nimh then 1.2 amps is ok but with lipo doesn't matter how you charge cause you have a balancer with it that works everything for you.
Trust me go lipo and brushless. it will cost you about 300 easy BUT you will not need to buy another battery or motor again for atleast a year.
