F1 engines in that era were V10 and V12, and revved 3x higher than this car. Video title and description say it's an Indycar engine. It doesn't even sound like an Indycar engine to me, revving so low. Sounds like a normal, highly tuned small V8 retching its guts out.

I'm sure it is, I'm just saying it doesn't even sound like an IRL motor to me, let alone F1.

Its an IRL motor. with a 6spd SMG style transmission and electronically variable differential. Car also has ABS and traction control as per the description.

However IRL motors are RPM limited to 10,300 RPM and produce around 650 HP (http://www.indycar.com/tech/specifications.php)

So this one is definitely de-tuned if it only produces 530 HP.
