1999 Ford Explorer Sport - 2 door
4.0L V6 SOHC/4 wheel drive
274,000km
Runs strong.......this thing does turn heads.
Bought this from a Max member back in Dec 2006, who bought it from another Max member. So let's keep it in the family.
I've used this as my winter vehicle, and it's great. Taken it on some long trips without any problems at all.......but family dynamics (read: the wife) has prompted a need for something else.
I bought it with 250,000 km on it, and since then I've installed:
4 new tires (still plenty of tread left)
New battery
full brake job with new rotors
new hub and bearing
new radiator
new control arms
new control arm links
Well taken care of, clean inside and out. Above average for a vehicle of it's age.
Everything works, A/C runs cold.
Currently too busy to safety and emission test it, so I'll offer it here AS IS for a bit lower first.
It does need a new muffler, but that's it. I got a quote from one shop for $207 installed.
It passed emissions last July (2008) no problems.
I'm located in downtown Toronto.
Asking $1900 firm, as is.
If/when I get it safetied and e-tested it will add to the cost.
