Well the inevitable finally happened, my friend who drives a 1989 VW Golf 1.8 me up to a turn in on a long stretch of road, neither of us said anything beforehand but both knew what was to bewehn we turned in to the stretch of road he slams it 1st gear he pulls me by car lenght 2nd I gain a bit 3rd gear I pull away, redlining 3rd gear I was well away. He's car is lightweight and front wheels drive so I think a race from 1st to 2nd he'd win but after that he's toast, well do some standstill races and I'l let know for those who give a shit. the best was that everybody said He would probably pull me all the way.*uzi*
He admits to being flat in every gear.

the 180 horse, i didnt have a perfect launce, but his traction controll makes it easy for any idiot to racee with. he opnly had me buy a car length in between lights but thats a 2 or 3 second difference on a 1/4 track.

you raced a bone stock 1989 1.8L Golf and people thought you would lose?

I drove a basically stock 5sp. 1992 1.8L Golf (lowered on gunmetal Corrado rims) and that thing would put civics to shame

Yip, some thought I'd win, most thought I'd loose. bytheway my shift from 2nd to 3rd was not bad but could of been better, still got away from him though.
