Would anyone know of a reputable auto upholstery shop that won't charge an arm and a leg just because you tell them you have a bmw racarro interior?

I called a place and they wanted stupid money just for the drivers side bolster.

Any help would be appreciated.

the quote a got in case you are wondering was: 250.00 this would include the piping along the length of the bolster, the inner and outer length of leather on the bolster.

thank you.

I have the same issue but I have a spare passenger seat.I have started cannibalizing it for the cables and I am going to take passenger bolsters off the spare and replace on my drivers seat.It does not look that hard, a few hog rings, both the uppers and the lower bolsters are separate units.Ill take a few pics of the procedure and post when i get to it this week, I hope, as long as the dam weather cooperates.Mister

yeah it's possible. We used to replace seat covers and the heating element doing it that way. it's time consuming but doable. need special pliers that can take new hog rings and close them. I remember using them at bmw.

Reviving an old thread, I had my bolster repaired today. It is a 2003 M3. Charged similar rates to what I have found in these forum searches. Too much money in my opinion for the work they do.

How about a place that will refinish a steering wheel locally, anybody know any?
