Looks good, however i think matte finish would compliment the texture of the metal.

Not bad. I agree that a mat finish would look better.

looks good, did you use a ceramic paint to keep the intake cooler?

Looks good! You obviously spent a lot of time on the roundel; it looks very clean.

it was a flat finsh then it took around 2 minutes of sanding the raised parts.. i cheated i used a dermal drill with a sand paper pad on it. then i sprayed clear so it wouldn't oxides but then it turned out all shiny but it looks alot blacker than the pic. its kinda gray in it

Yeah, I'm wondering what to do about the clear coat on the exposed aluminum. I tried brushing it on and it looks like shit. I might get a clear coat 'pen' and try drawing it on.

Or, annually, I'll just brush the aluminum bright.

Take a pic with the flash (and hold the camera super steady, or set it down and use the timer function) to get a better pic.

yeah deffantly don't spray the clear. it doesn't look nice. the clear pen would work good i think.im not sure other stuff you could use but use for clear. i painted the intake with ceramic paint but then i got the other regular stuff for valve cover. im going to try and put it all together tonight and i will post up pics all together. but use the dremal drill to clean it. i used the dremal for the manifold and i used just regular sand paper for the valve cover and took forever.

Looks pretty good, but makes me glad I didn't spray clear on mine. Not a huge fan of the glossy look on engine componenents.

I bet if you wet sanded it with some 1000 grit sandpaper you'd probably lost most of the gloss... but it would be a fair bit of work :)
