Hey guys,

I was given the opportunity to get an '89 vert today.

here's some of the info:

170 000km, body has small rust spots in the rear wheel well. Paint/clear coat cracked and hazed on hood, could use a new soft top.

Auto, am/fm/cd, pw, pl, leather, heated sport seats, BBS 14'' weaves, hard top worth $2000 alone, new muffler, new transmission, new radiator, new rotors and pads.

the only thing that really bothers me is the automatic trans*thmbsdwn*

I plan on going to see it next weekend.

the guy will take $1500.00

should I grab this thing or what?

^^sounds ok, make sure the rust isn't bad. I'd swap a m50 + 5spd in, and it would be a fun car.

sounds like the red one on kijiji, he has had it posted for months now, was thinking of getting it for the wife to drive. Think I had him down to $1200. Sorry to say but the hard top isn't worth $2000, $700 tops. But it would be a nice project. I have a pedal set and manual tranny if buy it and want to do a swap, and have all the peices to update the front end to the plastic bumpers.

really need to stop asking if you should buy a car people!!!!!someone always steels it when you ask after you find a deal. Keep your hard work searching and such to yourselves.

I didn't have to search to hard for this because the guy called me up, I know him and my company does business with his company.....also I didn't really need another E30 right now, that's why I posted it up here just to see if it was really worth looking into. Now all I need to complete the E30 collection is a touring and an M3:D....I'll post up the pics on the weekend

Just got back home with the car, of course it needs a bunch of things like front shocks, timing belt/tensioner, guibo flex joint and/or support bearing, the cracked and hazed clear coat was a bit worse than I expected (not just on the hood), and it will need some rust repair on the lower right rear wheel well, but it did come with a mint set of weaves, and an extra set of steelies, and the best part was I managed to get it for $750, so I think I got a pretty good deal.

How much?, send me a pm with price and the details about the car, I got my dad interested in getting into an E30 as soon as he sells his '99 TDI jetta.
