Beautiful. Congrats!! I know taking on a project like that has its ups and downs but Id say you finished it pretty quickly! Good work!

What are your plans for the exhaust? I hear that's when things get quite difficult...

I would love to do this on my cabrio in a year or two.

How much custom work/fabrication was it? Mainly just the remote brake setup?

Question, my brother is thinking of doing m52 swap to his e30... before you put in the motor, did you take it apart and clean it, are put it straight inside and hooked it up?

Just noticed you relocated the ABS pump...

I sorta wanted to do that to mine but....laziness struck me.

5thseries, ya i pulled the oil pan off, put on new gaskets, rear main, oil line O rings, stuff like that. if didnt leak oil, but i didnt want it to start!

duct taper, ya i would say all the fabing was just the brake set up, and it wasnt that bad to do, took a bit of time, and routing new brake lines took some time as well, but the rest was just gronking it out.

Don't forget a little time spent modifying one exhaust manifold and building up an entire new one for the other side *th-up* Plus the odd little spacer here and there. He's being a little modest, there were a few little brackets that he machined up. He has some mad skills for that. Most things would be manageable by the average guy, but it will just take longer to track down supplies and do the work at home, unless you have a really decent shop.

It's a nice clean build to see in person, can't wait to see this thing on the road!

BIG props on this*rockout*

haha alright, manifolds took the time, i can agree to that, mainly the right side, that i fabbed from scratch... but modifying the left side X5 manifold actually took like a hour to finish.
