Need the input of some max members. What is the right thing to do?

Let's say you buy something from a fellow member and they ship it out to you, but it is not like what they described. You contact them and they say send it back and they will refund the payment. So you make arrangements to ship it back to them, and tell them it was $10 to ship back to them, who should pay the shipping to return the item?

In most cases, returnee covers the s/h, but it all depends on the person you are dealing with.

Always a crappy situation, but I would eat the shipping for a small amount.

Most retailers operate in this way, which sucks, but it has sort of become the way of the internet... returner pays shipping.

I say split the shipping cost.

your probably going to have to pay the shipping cost, but I believe that they should pay the shipping, if they sent you the wrong item why must you pay to ship it back ??
