Yes. No.

I mean yes.

Ok so $3500 to $4500 range. Sounds about right. I'm thinking parts and bit of labor would bring it to about $6500 to fixed up condition (mostly own labor).

After the fixup, it can be flipped for $7500? It's a great car, damn the mileage.

I think in this economy $7500 is risky. There was an 02 540i M-sport with 300k going for $7kobo and it was the desirable black and was a 1 owner, pretty great shape car.
You'd be lucky to get over $6500 fixed.

i wouldnt buy it to flip it. i would buy it to drive for myself.

Not my decision. Just feeling the waters for somebody. I'm keeping my 540. Just got rid of both 1s and picked up (well next week) a white STI with tech package.

Both. The 128 vert and 135 coupe. It's not power. I need to get rid of the cars with 2 doors and get 4 doors only. Baby on the way. Baby seat in the back is a pain.

well even on the e39 4 door, child seat is a pain. To install it u lave to push the passenger seat forward to the point only dwarfs can use it

Once a car gets to @ 300,000 km it loses most of it's value IMO. It may have been very well cared for but the general perception is that it is pretty well used up.

If everything has been replaced at least twice then go for it. Otherwise It may be more effort that its worth.

My car has 110, 000 and I am starting to spend mucho dinero!!!

Plus the V8's are a bit of a pain to work on and generally more expensive to upkeep.
